Michael Kors and his partner Lance LePere will be tying the knot

fter 21 years together -- and only a few weeks of being able to legally marry in New York -- fashion designer and television personality Michael Kors and his partner Lance LePere will be tying the knot, reports Life & Style.

"The two were spotted at City Hall in NYC on Aug. 3 getting their marriage license," reports the magazine, which goes on to quote an eyewitness saying, "They were both very casually dressed. [Kors] was really nice and let the girls at the office take his picture."

The couple met when LePere was an intern at Kors' office in Paris. Working together, they realized that they had a lot in common and something more than a business relationship began to develop.

"We share a certain level of taste, an American point of view," LePere has said. "And I think we like to play with Americana. Over the years and the day-to-day process of dreaming together, things just naturally fell into place."

There is no word yet on what the grooms will wear -- but we can only assume it will be a Michael Kors original.
